Author’s Note: 2021 Reflection

In 2021, I tried a lot of different things. Whether that was writing, freelance editing, graphic design, wood burning, or whatever habit of the month piqued my interest, nothing seemed to stick. Flash forward to me now, realizing that I never really let anything stick. I was too focused on doing everything, that I never focused on trying to do one thing well.

When I look at my various hobbies and passions, I find some things stick out far more than others: writing, reading, and learning. So as we reflect on what this blog was meant to do, it seems that I got it right for the most part, I just went about it the wrong way. In 2022, I want to write blog posts that interest me, that talk on the stories that I love, and that remind me of my own writing experiences. I want to share my love of writing, reading, and consuming countless stories, and work on this aspect of my hobbies and passions.

That being said, let’s get started sooner rather than later – look out for my wrap up of all the books I read this year in my next blog post, one week from today.
